Continuing Professional Development

AIA believes in the benefits of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for both the profession, the individual and the public and we therefore take a supportive approach to ensuring that all AIA members are able to meet our CPD requirements.

We offer a number of events, seminars and online courses to ensure that members can comfortably obtain the required CPD units, and we also recognise other course providers for CPD purposes. In 2009 we have launched a new Training Division, responsible for the organisation of a comprehensive CPD programme throughout the world.

The Training Division is dedicated to assisting members in complying with their annual CPD requirements and providing a centralised point of contact for all CPD related matters. We’ve set up the Training Division in direct response to feedback from members, who have said they required more support in meeting the CPD requirements and the new initiative is dedicated to offering members world class training in a more structured manner. We hope it will lead to more members viewing CPD as an opportunity and getting the most from their continued professional learning.
