The seminar will introduce business and intangible assets valuation and purchase price allocation, and will cover Business Combinations (SFAS 141R & HKFRS 3R). The event is aimed at finance and accounting professionals in the context of financial valuation and illustration of respective financial reporting requirements..

Samuel Chan, MBA, CVA, CM&AA, CEPA is director and head of Business and Intangible Assets Valuation at Greater China Appraisal. He is also the Vice President of Valuation Education of the International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA). He will be accompanied by his colleagues; Rachel Au, Senior Financial Analyst and Carol Tso, MComm CPA, Financial Analyst.

The seminar will examine financial valuation techniques, focusing on three core perspectives:

  1. Fundamentals of business valuation
  2. Introduction to intangible asset valuation
  3. Application of purchase price allocation
