The AIA is governed by our Council, which ensures that we deliver our objectives as outlined in our Memorandum of Association. The Council also decides on AIA’s strategic objectives, monitors our performance in relation to them and oversees our annual budget.

The Council currently comprises 17 members who are elected by AIA members at our Annual General Meeting. The Council encompasses members from all of our key jurisdictions around the world, representing all of our members and reflecting the AIA’s global nature.

ANDREW LAMB, PRESIDENT

Andrew Lamb has been in public practice as a partner since 1976 and is currently the senior partner of PKB International Ltd which is a member of the PKB Group LLP. His international practice, which specialises in UK compliant global tax and accountancy solutions, has offices in London, Bristol, Luxembourg and Zurich with plans to extend still further in the far east during 2013. Andrew is also the immediate President of a European group of accountants and lawyers and a past Court Liveryman of the Information Technologists, the 100th City of London Livery Company. Andrew travels extensively throughout the world, not just in the course of his AIA duties, but as a practising international accountant.

MAGGIE TIMONEY, VICE PRESIDENT

Maggie Timoney was the first female representative on the AIA Council, and has held that position for over ten years. She is also the first female Vice President. Maggie currently works in the Telecommunications industry, as a Partner at Ryan Associates, based in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to this, she worked in Dublin as Chief Financial Officer of Circle Network and as a Senior Consultant with DDV Telecommunications Strategy.

LESLIE BRADLEY, VICE PRESIDENT

Leslie Bradley has been in practice as an accountant since qualifying in 1971 and working within a busy practice has accumulated a vast amount of experience within accountancy and taxation.
