AIA DELEGATION TO INDIA

AIA representatives will join the UK India Business Council and Noth East Chamber of Commerce delegation to India.  The programme begins in Bangalore and will then move on to Delhi where the Connect ‘14 Convention will take place. This is the annual gathering of British businesses in India and includes 500+ businesses, including Indian businesses keen to deepen their commercial connection with the UK. 

The Education and Skills Sector Summit which is held during the Great Britain India Business Convention CONNECT ’14 will look closely at how Britain’s educational establishments can help the new Indian Government to drive a revolution for India’s young people and will give AIA an opportunity to meet with potential new study providers.   During the trip meetings have also been arranged with current partners to further strengthen our relationship.

The Founders' Lecture and Awards is the AIA's flagship event, held annually at a prestigious venue in London; the Founders' Lecture has seen a number of high profile speakers over the years, including Vince Cable, Peter Wyman and Peter Montagnon.

NOVEMBER 2014 WEBINARS NOW AVAILABLE

AIA is pleased to announce the upcoming schedule for the AIA Achieve Past Question webinars, available for students studying Papers 13, 14 and 15 at the Professional 2 level at the November 2014 exam session. To help students develop their ability to tackle the wide range of questions that appear in the exams for these papers, AIA have developed a series of live webinars that take the questions as their basis and look at how students should go about answering them. The sessions will be presented by one of the AIA's expert e-tutors, who will guide students through the knowledge and technique required to answer the question successfully.

FREE AMLCC PRODUCT FOR AIA MEMBERS IN PRACTICE

Accountancy firms supervised by AIA under the Money Laundering Regulations must have robust policies and procedures in place, appropriate to the individual firm's needs, to ensure anti-money laundering compliance and AIA is pleased to offer access to AMLCC free of charge to AIA Members in Practice.

The AMLCC product provides firms with the essential tools needed to assess their clients through online reporting and record keeping as well as train their staff, this in turn gives reassurance to the AIA that AIA registered firms are meeting their statutory obligations and incorporating best practice into their work.

BESPOKE INSURANCE SOLUTIONS FOR AIA MEMBERS

AIA is working in partnership with independent insurance brokers Pegasus Professions and international specialist insurance and reinsurance company Hiscox to deliver tailored insurance products to AIA members, including office insurance, liability cover and professional indemnity insurance.

Pegasus Professions will provide AIA members and their clients with free, practical advice and guidance to help effectively manage the business risks commonly faced by businesses and tailored insurances thanks to its unique understanding of the enterprise sector. Pegasus and AIA will be working exclusively with specialist global insurer Hiscox to deliver bespoke insurance products, including office insurance, liability cover and professional indemnity insurance to AIA members.
