AIA URGE MEMBERS TO BE MTD READY - Making Tax Digital for VAT came into force on 01 April 2019 for all businesses in the UK with a turnover above the VAT threshold of £85,000. It is the first step in HMRCs ambitious plans to become one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world. It was confirmed in last week's Spring Statement that Making Tax Digital will not be extending to other taxes until 2021 at the earliest.
In order to help AIA members with their Making Tax Digital responsibilities, AIA has partnered with Tolley and GoSimpleTax to provide a suite of resources outlining advice and guidance on what you need to know following the MTD implementation.
