Philip Turnbull – Chief Executive
Philip Turnbull, a member of the Council since 1994, was appointed Chief Executive in 1999. Prior to accepting this position, Philip held the role of AIA Director of Development and Training for a number of years. During his tenure, Philip has overseen the amalgamation of the AIA and the Institute of Company Accountants, a move that has resulted in many benefits for members and students of both bodies; directed AIA through successful recognition applications including as a Prescribed Body under the Companies (Auditing and Accounting) Act 2003 in the Republic of Ireland, supervisory status for its members in the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 as well as recognition to operate in the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) as an Awarding Body. AIA continues to record growth through the maintenance of professional standards in education, development of new qualifications and expansion into new markets. Philip previously worked for the Trafalgar House Group and Cable and Wireless Communications.
Andrew Lamb – President
Andrew Lamb has been in public practice as a partner since 1976 and is currently the senior partner of PKB Underwood Lamb Associates Ltd. His practice has predominately international clients with associated offices in London, Luxembourg and Geneva. Andrew is also President of a European group of accountants and lawyers. In the UK, Andrew has supported many business organisations and is currently the President of a UK Chamber of Commerce. Andrew is also a past Court Liveryman of the Information Technologists, the 100th City of London Livery Company.
