On 03 October the Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants were pleased to welcome a delegation of AIA members and senior business figures from the People’s Republic of China. The visit took place at the AIA Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne in the lead up to the AIA 90th Anniversary Dinner, which takes place on 08 October at the House of Lords.
Delegates were shown a warm welcome and provided with a tour of the AIA head office, before participating in a series of meetings and debates on topics including international growth and the potential effects of the impending Brexit.
AIA Chief Executive, Philip Turnbull, commented during the visit: “It is always a great pleasure to meet and engage with our overseas members. Thank you to all of the delegates for taking time out of their busy schedules whilst in the UK to visit our office to help further build and strengthen links between our great countries and businesses.”
Following the meeting, delegates and AIA personnel had the pleasure of attending a ‘Good Friendship Welcome Dinner’ to celebrate ongoing business relationships.
