On 15 November 2018 AIA signed a cooperation agreement with Jinan University Education College, Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China to promote international accounting within Guangdong province.

During a ceremony held in the university’s academic report hall the agreement was signed by Professor Zhang Hong, Vice President of Jinan University and Les Bradley, AIA President, in the presence of David Ould, Deputy General Consul of the British Consulate in Guangzhou, along with representatives from Jinan University's International Exchange and Cooperation Office, heads of various departments of the College of Education, and teachers and students from the School of Education.

Following the signing of the cooperation agreement Vice President, Zhang Hong and AIA President, Leslie Bradley jointly unveiled the AIA International Accountants Training Centre of Jinan University's School of Education.

AIA President Les Bradley commented: “It is with great pleasure that I stand here today having signed a cooperation agreement with Jinan University’s School of Education.

“The AIA are a truly global membership body. We have members in a wide variety of business sectors representing some of the worlds most influential organisations. As a forward thinking, proactive, association we are always looking at opportunities to take our qualifications to new students.

“Today’s agreement opens up another route for students to study the AIA qualification, and I look forward to seeing Jinan University students undertaking the qualification in due course.”

Jinan University Vice President, Professor Zhang Hong, added: “The school of Education has more than 30 years of experience in continuing education management. Through the close cooperation between Jinan University and AIA, with two parties’ brand and strength, Jinan University will cultivate more professionals to service the community better.”
