AIA operates a policy of exemptions designed to reduce repetition if you have already attained a relevant qualification of an acceptable standard. Exemptions will only be awarded for qualifications where a pass mark of 50% or above has been attained.

The exemptions listed in the Exemptions Database are intended as a guide only. Exemptions are awarded on registration as a Student and are assessed on an individual basis.

Qualifications that are not listed in the Exemption Database will be assessed on a case by case basis. You are required to pay an exemption fee for each exempted paper, and exemptions are not offered on any of the AIA Professional Level 2 papers.
