The Association of International Accountants (AIA) was pleased to see Michael Chow, former AIA Council Member and Fellow of the Association (FAIA), take part in the Brands for Good Awards 2026 in Singapore as both a table host and panel judge.
Held under the theme “Together for Good”, the 2026 Brands for Good Awards Gala celebrated brands, leaders and organisations demonstrating that business success and positive impact can grow together. The event brought together more than 500 guests from across the region and beyond, including award recipients, business leaders, entrepreneurs, members of the diplomatic community, Members of Parliament, community and social-impact partners, educators, volunteers and supporters.
As a table host, Michael welcomed distinguished guests including His Excellency Ahmed Mostafa Abdelaal Mohamed, Ambassador of Egypt to Singapore, alongside other industry leaders and entrepreneurs. Drawing on his extensive professional experience, international perspective and background in corporate advisory, banking, compliance and international affairs, Michael helped foster conversations among a diverse community committed to responsible leadership and meaningful impact.
Reflecting on the occasion, Michael Chow shared:
“It was a privilege to be part of the Brands for Good Awards 2026 and to join a community of leaders, entrepreneurs and changemakers who believe that business can be a force for positive impact. The theme ‘Together for Good’ highlights the importance of collaboration, as meaningful and lasting change is achieved when people, organisations and communities work together towards a shared purpose.”
Michael also continued his role as a panel judge for the awards, marking his fifth consecutive year contributing to the judging process. Alongside fellow judges Sam Chia, Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), and Professor Lim Soon Hock, Michael helped recognise organisations and individuals whose work demonstrated strong values, innovation and a commitment to creating positive change.
The “Together for Good” theme reflected the belief that meaningful impact is rarely created alone. Bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, educators and policymakers from across the world, the Gala served as a powerful reminder that lasting progress is built on collaboration, shared values and collective action.
These principles closely align with AIA's role as an international professional membership body, connecting accountants and finance professionals across a global network. Through its commitment to integrity, professionalism and public trust, AIA champions collaboration across borders and sectors, supporting the development of responsible leaders who contribute positively to businesses, communities and economies around the world.
Michael's involvement in the event reflected his continued dedication to ethical leadership, sustainability and responsible business practices, values that sit at the heart of both the Brands for Good mission and AIA's purpose.
A former Board member of the United Nations Association of Singapore, Michael has built a distinguished career across corporate advisory, banking and compliance. He continues to contribute his expertise through professional and advisory roles, supporting initiatives that encourage good governance, collaboration and positive societal impact.
AIA congratulates Michael Chow on his continued contribution to the Brands for Good Awards and is proud to see its Fellows representing the Association on an international stage while championing ethical leadership, responsible business and meaningful impact.
"The theme ‘Together for Good’ highlights the importance of collaboration, as meaningful and lasting change is achieved when people, organisations and communities work together towards a shared purpose."
