The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants would like to congratulate Gloria Murray (AIA Council Member) of Murray Asscociates for the second time in a week.
Gloria of Murray Associates is now a Triple Award Winning Accountant and now the Top Business Advisor in the UK as last night (19 October) she won the Most Innovative Business Advisor in the UK in the 2020 Annual Innovation Awards 2017. This followed on from her winning the AVN Changing Lives Award 2017 the previous week and the Most Innovative Accountant in the UK Award in 2014.
Gloria’s influence has had a major impact on many of her clients. Judi of Merchant City Yoga in Glasgow who effectively lost her business in 2014 as the landlord forgot to renew the Fire License so the business premises were closed down by the Fire Brigade - she was in Australia at the time - had to restart all over again. However three years later she now runs two successful businesses and said of Gloria,
“The team are world class, continually going above and beyond to achieve the best results for me. It’s amazing to feel you have someone else on your side providing a firm hand, bucket loads of encouragement and good practical advice to help me run an effective, efficient and profitable business and hold steady when the going gets tough. I can’t imagine being where I am without her help.
What would Richard Branson do? He’d have Gloria on his team!"
Gloria added, “ My role and the ethos I instil in the team is we’re not only just the client’s Accountant, but also their Financial Director and Trusted Advisor. This focus on helping clients get the best results for their business means we really help them become bigger, better and more effective entrepreneurs to benefit their community, offer sustainable employment and give us the opportunity to help others less fortunate too!”
To share this philosophy and even more Gloria is launching a major new initiative to help Scottish businesses get an extra £1 million and make the world a happier place by creating a million smiles with the “Get and Give A Million” initiative. This initiative is for Scottish Businesses to get anextra £1 million and help the UN achieve its Global Goals by creating a million micro-impacts and smiles for people in need. Launching the initiative Gloria said:
“We want to make a real impact on the lives of Scottish business owners. An impact that flows over into their families, communities, economies and the wider world. An impact that will help make the world a better place for us all. So we have launched “Get and Give A Million” as a free initiative that helps in two ways. Firstly, by making life better for business owners, their businesses and their loved ones in the “Get A Million” part. And secondly by helping them to play a bigger game, so they can have more of an impact, create more of a legacy and make more of a difference by supporting the UN’s Global Goals in the “Give A Million” part.
Business owners simply come in for a free Get and Give A Million meeting. We then use our skills as great award winning accountants and business advisors to identify new ways to add thousands, and possibly even millions, to their business and personal bank accounts. And they leave the meeting with a detailed action plan, a clear understanding of their three top priorities and the lovely warm feeling that comes with knowing the meeting has automatically also helped us take another step towards our target of creating a million micro-impacts and smiles for those in need. All completely free of charge, with no strings or hidden agenda. Many wonderful people are already on board including Judi and Kerri and we are proud to invite your readers to join them too.”
