On 26 March 2019, The AIA are hosting a FREE Breakfast Seminar at our Newcastle based Head Office. This seminar will be delivered by Gillian Sayburn (Begbies Traynor) and will cover 'Early Warning Signs and Insolvency'. But do not worry if you cant make the Breakfast seminar, as Gillian will also be delivering her presentation in a FREE webinar later that same day.
Too often we see businesses (companies, partnerships, sole trader) failing because they have been too late in identifying that they have a financial problem, they have tried to “weather the storm” without taking any action or have “buried their head in the sand”.
In this seminar we hope to identify, through case studies and examples, some of the early warning signs business owners and their professional advisors should be looking out for, which if identified and acted upon, may prevent the business failing.
By identifying problems early, businesses have more options available to them. It is key that owners and their financial advisors are aware of the options and that they seek specialist advice from a restructuring/insolvency professional when problems are first identified.
We will discuss some of the options that businesses have taken including refinancing and restructuring which has allowed the business to carry on.
We will look at the various insolvency process available when there is no prospect of a business surviving.
We will also briefly touch on directors’ duties when a company is facing financial pressure.
