The Pensions Regulator will be providing an update to the employer duties for automatic enrolment, including the process for new employers contracting with their first worker, the 2018 increase in contributions and a reminder on the importance of calculating contributions on the correct method of tax relief. They will also be looking at where we are now in terms of compliance & enforcement, common issues and case studies. The webinar will also cover cyclical and immediate re-enrolment, looking at which staff need to be assessed and the cyclical re-enrolment timeline to re-declaration of compliance.
SPEAKER: Neil Wilson - Industry Liaison Manager
Neil is part of the Industry Liaison team at The Pensions Regulator. In this role, as well as public and private sector speaking events, he engages with many representatives of the Payroll Bureau industry sector, to help them understand the ongoing 'automatic enrolment' duties and bridge the gap between employer and service provider. Within the team, he also leads on public service pension scheme engagement and education for the fire and police pension schemes.
Neil has previously worked within payroll and pensions financial services for over 25 years and has extensive experience of dealing with in-house and bureau payroll companies in both the private and public sector. He is a holder of The Diploma in Payroll Management.
