Exam Technique Workshop

Event Date:
17 April 2019
Event Time:
12:00
Venue:

Feedback from many examiners suggest that success in professional body accounting exams such as the AIA’s has as much to do with good exam strategy as it has to do with good knowledge. The purpose of this webinar is therefore to provide practical advice on how to develop an effective exam strategy and effective approaches to study. You will be given the opportunity to reflect on your own practice and to identify ways in which you can improve your preparation for exams and your approach on the day.

Presenter: Caroline Chaffer - Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship)

Mrs Caroline Chaffer is a graduate of Leeds University, and a Chartered Accountant. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and spent 15 years working in both practice and the financial services industry before deciding on a career change into accounting education in 2009. Before taking up her current appointment as a Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) at The University of York, Caroline was a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Leeds Beckett University.

Her research is focused upon the education of accounting undergraduates and accounting trainees and she is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Higher Education with the University of Sheffield.
