The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants are proud to announce the opening of a new office in Beijing, which will help support and develop growth within the Asian market.

Business leaders and dignitaries from around the region attended the office opening ceremony which took place on 23 March 2017.

The new AIA office which is situated in the Chaoyang district of Beijing, will initially employ three full time members of staff. The office will provide current members and students with a wide variety of associated membership support services.

The Beijing office will share the core principles and beliefs of the AIA.

Announcing the expansion, AIA Chief Executive, Philip Turnbull, said: “We are delighted to launch our new Beijing office, which alongside our Hong Kong office shows the high level of commitment we have to our growing membership base in mainland China.

“We have invested significantly in the Chinese market over the past 20 years, and a new office in Beijing was the next phase in our development to meet our future growth targets and corporate objectives.

“Having an office in Beijing will also allow us to build on our current partnerships with local colleges and training providers in Beijing and China as a whole, and we look forward to developing these links further as our membership numbers grow.”

The AIA currently has over 7,500 members and students in China, a figure which has been steadily increasing since 1997.
