The Association of International Accountants (AIA), Hong Kong Branch, took 29 students from PolyU Hong Kong Community College to Kuala Lumpur for the Multinational Business Case Tournament (MBT) 2017/18.
MBT is a new competition that’s was introduced to help students develop their communication, presentation and problem solving skills within a real-world business environment.
MBT is a new competition that’s was introduced to help students develop their communication, presentation and problem solving skills within a real-world business environment, with only 6 teams selected the competition has been a huge success for the students from PolyU Community College.
The students were accompanied on their trip by AIA Hong Kong Membership Services Manager, Aby Yuen, and AIA Hong Kong Branch President Dr. William Ho. Dr. William Ho said “This trip brings together the students and provides them with an opportunity to develop their professional skills and gain experience in business. It also provides them with an insight to the qualities and benefits that being an AIA student provides.”
The students undertook activities which included visiting EZT group and Pavillion Embassy, as well as an opportunity to have a tour of Malacca and Ayer Keroh.
The MBT presentations took place on Wednesday 18 July 2018 at the SCM Professional Center in Kuala Lumpur. Students were requried to present their findings in front of a a panel of three judges including AIA Hong Kong Branch President, Dr. William Ho, Director of Asiandi Group & CEO of DingDong group, Mr Adrian Thean, and Programme Leader of Association in Business (Accounting) of HKCC, Dr. Arison Woo.
Following the trip, students said they found it valuable and a good experience towards their career development. Having access to AIA staff was an added benefit to the students involved.
