The Irish budget was presented to Dail Eireann on 10 October 2023 by Minister for Finance Michael McGarth and Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform Pascal Donohoe.   

In this session Gerard will cover the key announcements of the Budget, including a comprehensive summary to help you understand what the announcements mean for you and your clients.

Gerard is currently Head of Department of Accounting and Economics at the South East Technological University (SETU), where he has worked for more than 20 years. He is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the department including staffing, timetabling, academic standards and examinations. Gerard lectures and examines various modules focussing on auditing and professional ethics. Alongside his teaching activities, Gerard has has considerable experience as an examiner and marker for various professional accounting bodies and is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
