Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is a significant change for you, your clients and HMRC. We need everyone who will be impacted to be ready for this change.
Digital record keeping and the use of third-party software to submit quarterly updates and the end of year tax return are major requirements that will impact on agents, and their clients.
There are also opportunities for you and your customers to participate in our Testing programmes in 2024-25 and 2025-26, ahead of mandation in April 2026.
Testing provides the opportunity for accountants to see the full process in operation, identify any bugs and help them be resolved, ask questions and get more insight about MTD for Income Tax which could help prepare for other clients coming in.
