18:00-19:00 (Malaysia Time) 10:00-11:00 (UK Time)
Date: 19 August 2026
With the implementation of Malaysia's stamp duty self-assessment system from 1 January 2026, together with increased scrutiny from the tax authority, understanding stamp duty obligations has become more important than ever for tax and finance professionals. Ensuring the correct treatment of dutiable instruments, meeting compliance requirements and identifying potential risks are now essential aspects of effective tax governance.
This webinar provides a practical overview of the key stamp duty considerations arising under the new self-assessment regime. It will also examine the Special Voluntary Disclosure Programme, which is available until 30 June 2026 for eligible instruments executed between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2025. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities presented by the disclosure programme, as well as the implications of failing to comply with the latest requirements.
Whether you are responsible for tax compliance, finance, legal documentation or advisory services, this session will help you navigate the evolving stamp duty landscape with greater confidence.
