Tim Keeley

Tim Keeley brings over 50 years of experience in taxation, combining deep technical knowledge with practical insight. His career began in 1972 when he joined the former Inland Revenue as an Inspector of Taxes after graduating that year. During his time in public service, he rose to the position of District Inspector, before moving into private practice in 1987.

Tim’s interest in international and non-UK taxation developed during his later years at the Inland Revenue and became a key focus throughout his career. He strengthened his expertise by becoming a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) in 1993 and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1994. In 1999, Tim relocated his practice to London, where he worked with leading firms before joining Numera Partners LLP as a partner in 2012. In 2020, he transitioned to a consultant role, advising Numera Partners and two other specialist firms: CWF & Partners and Specialist Taxation Services (Europe) Ltd.

Tim is known for his practical, common sense approach to tax advice, avoiding artificial planning long before anti-avoidance legislation became mainstream. His work often involves complex offshore tax issues and anti-avoidance legislation, where his lateral thinking and experience have delivered significant tax savings for clients.
