EXAMS

Exams

As soon as you register as an AIA student you should enter the next exam session and start studying. You are required to sit the exams at every exam session, until you have completed all of the exam papers. If you can't sit an exam, due to personal circumstances or ill health, then you should contact the Exams department to obtain approval to defer your entry to the next session.

Progressing through the exams is challenging, but if you invest the time, and use all of the resources available to you, then the experience will be rewarding, setting you in good stead for your career. AIA holds two exam sessions every year, one in May and one in November, and your study should focus on working towards these key dates.

EXAM STRUCTURE

The structure of the AIA exams is flexible and is designed to fit around you and your commitments, enabling you to progress at your own pace, and maintain your work/life balance. Each level of the exams gives you a qualification to demonstrate your achievement, and each level builds on the knowledge you have acquired previously. Qualification as an International Accountant is achieved on completion of the Diploma in Professional Accountancy (Professional Level 2) and three years' IPD.
