Accountants in the UK are to experience a growth in both bonuses and salary for the forthcoming year, with a £100m increase on 2013/2014 figures due, according to predictions from specialist finance recruitment agency Marks Sattin.

China's banking regulator urged commercial banks on Friday to increase lending to small businesses and the rural sector, a move that may bolster the cooling economy but also risks saddling banks with more troubled loans.

The government has sold another £500m of Lloyds Banking Group shares through the trading plan launched in December 2014, taking the total raised for the taxpayer to over £10 billion. Over half of the amount invested by the taxpayer in Lloyds has now been recovered.

Hang Seng Bank (0011) announced today it has sold a 4.99 percent interest in Industrial Bank to institutional investors at 17.68 per share (HK$22.08 per share) in cash.
