The Association of International Accountants (AIA), the global body for professional accountants held its annual Education Conference today (19 January 2018).
The annual conference took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne with the focus predominately on the ‘Review of the Professional Qualification 2016 – 2019’, the professional exams, and the overarching moderation process.
Over 40 delegates, including AIA Council Members, FRC representatives, Moderators, Examiners and E-Tutors enjoyed an array of presentations, feedback sessions and case study reviews.
BPP Learning Media, Head of Range, Nisar Ahmed who attended the Conference, commented: “It is a great pleasure to be invited to the annual AIA Education Conference. BPP have worked closely with the AIA for many years, helping to develop exceptional study materials which are utilised internationally both by students and providers for studying and teaching towards the AIA qualification.
“BPP look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with AIA as we work closely to deliver continued success with a wide selection of new learning materials.”
AIA President, Les Bradley who also attended the annual conference, said: “As a highly respected international association, the annual Education Conference allows us the perfect opportunity to review, discuss and evaluate our syllabi in a forum which allows complete transparency.
“As an association we never rest on our laurels, which in part may be one of the reasons we are celebrating our 90th anniversary year in 2018. This sentiment is certainly apt today with discussions focusing around topics such as the moderation process of professional exams.
“We now look forward to a busy year which promises much for the AIA and its loyal members around the globe.”
